#77: Jitin Yadav IAS on The Aspirants Show
14 Important notes from the podcast for all aspirants to learn
One of my followers on Twitter took notes of my Podcast with Mr. Jitin Yadav IAS on The Aspirants Show. She shared her notes for all to learn and I am sharing them here with due credits.
ABCD: Any Body Can Do it
Jitin sir was unaware of functions, duties, and privileges of a ‘collector’ in his college days. He did not just crack the exam but also helping many to crack it, confidently!
A cool growth curve! ⤴️
Opportunities are everywhere, question is can you grab them?
There’s no scarcity of opportunities for one who wants to learn & grow. Mr Yadav himself got opportunities to work with likes of World Bank and IMF🧠
UPSC prep does not have to be a boring journey
It is a marathon and you can’t run a marathon by just training your muscles. You need to take breaks, rest, nutrition et al. One can play and study, work and study, date and study, pursue hobbies and study; as long as you are aware of your goal and committed to it, you’d be in a good place.
Don’t compare self even with your own past
Prep years are going to boring, heavy and requires rigorous study sessions. Forget others, don’t compare even your own yester years with today. Focus on brighter tomorrow and do it for yourself! ⏳
The ‘mindset’ game
What you are in ‘prep years’ is what you’ll be in ‘service years’
Hobbies
@Jitin_IAS:- Hobbies help you remain sane😇
@CseWhy :-hobbies which you can monetize help you remain safe (financially)
High BMI? No LBSNAA!
Sir says:- If BMI 30+, one will be debarred from Foundation Course at #LBSNAA until they fix the body. Even as one runs to score higher in tests 📝, he shouldn’t forget to RUN to keep BMI lower 🏃♂️🏃♀️
What exactly did he say about it? Click here to hear about overweight candidates
On LBSNAA friendships
LBSNAA batchmate-bondings are an asset for a lifetime! ✨ they’re similar to college bonding but on a larger scale & scope
On ‘dirty secrets’ of UPSC exams
Examiner is also a human and does not require fancy stuff to be impressed. Use this information to stay confident while attempting the Mains exams.
Attempting ALL questions good enough-ly >>>>>> attempting just a FEW perfectly
On challenges in IAS
🌟 Early years of service would be on field especially in IAS. One should be prepared and committed to work in Cooch Behar where there’s no bread 🍞 of your brand available, as well as in Kolkata where there’s all bread available but NO TIME!
On building IAS personality
One should take a stand and be decisive! What lies ahead of this exam are tougher challenges. Prep phase should be seen as a smaller challenge!
On use of ChatGPT for UPSC prep
ChatGPT can be used for compiling info for prep, but one should be very specific and in a place to verify the compiled info! 👩💻
On becoming a father
Becoming a FATHER made him more empathetic towards everyone! 👨👦
Every person who comes into one’s life, leaves an impression and changes them as a person in ways big & small, including newborn kids!
On probability of clearing the exam
Self Awareness + Confidence + Faith in the greater energy (some call god) =>Success (irrespective of final rank/result) 😇
CLEAR HOGA? Theek hei!
CLEAR NAHI HUA? Phir bhi teek hei !
जो होता है अच्छे के लिए होता है !
