• Marks spring advent i.e. beginning of farming season
3. Pawl Kut
• Greatest of all festivals in Mizoram by Kuki-Chin-Mizo tribes
• Celebrated post end of winter harvests in December
• Pawl = straw; 'straw harvest festival'
4. Chavang Kut
• Most imp. in Manipur w/ celebration in Assam & Mizoram
• Celebrated in Nov. to mark end of harvest season
• Imp. festival for the Kuki-Chin-Mizo tribes as well
