Human Papilloma Virus
• Infects mucous membrane & skin
• 100+ types; can cause penile, vulvar, anal cancers
• HPV infections are common, show no symptoms & cleared by immune system in 12-20 months
Back to Cervical Cancer:
• Transmission: Sexual contact
• Globally, 4th most common cancer among women
• In India, 2nd most common cancer among women
