• Mouth: Port Said & Alexandria

River Congo

• 2nd longest in Africa, origin at Lake Tanganyika; crosses equator twice

  • Lake Tanganyika shared among Burundi, DRC, Tanzania & Zambia

• Question seen in 2023 Prelims for its drying tendencies due to climate change

• It also has petroleum reserves at the mouth

River Niger

• Chief river of west Africa

• Rises from Fout Djolln Mountain

• Falls in Gulf of Guinea

River Zambezi

• Flows into Indian Ocean, origin is in forests of Mwinilunga

• Victoria Falls of Africa is at the head of this river

River Limpopo

• The famous river cutting Tropic of Capricorn twice

• Notice the borders it forms with diff countries

• Origin in South Africa
