If you are determined to get a government job, here are some options you can consider to secure a job first (to prepare for UPSC on side)
Note: None of these exams are tough. None of these exams are easy. However, these exams have a set pattern and disappoint less on D-Day. Do research about job profile on your end before applying
1. RBI Grade B
Great career opportunity. Will do detailed thread on tackling this later.

2. Intelligence Bureau
IB offers a career of great respect. From accounts officer to Junior IO to ACIO; a few openings come out every year.

3. Regional Rural Bank
IBPS conducting recruitment for officers and assistants in RRBs.

4. Gramin Dak Sevak
Salary is 20k in hand but nature of job allows you to prepare on side for UPSC + easier to get job near home. Even better for those from the rural background.

5. SSC
SSC organizes various exams from CGL to JE to Delhi Police etc.
Keep an eye and do apply at the exam suiting your qualification, interest and job preference.

6. TGC (Indian Army)
If you are an engineer, TGC recruitment helps you a royal career in Indian army. I myself appeared and loved the experience.
Could not make it due to poor eyesight.
2x recruitment drives every year. DO APPLY whenever next comes out!
7. Other opportunities you can explore
- UPSC: CDS/CAPF/EPFO/ESIC etc.
- Banks, LIC, Insurance
- Statutory: NABARD, FCI
- PSUs: ONGC, NTPC, NHPC
- State PCS (can elevate you to IAS eventually)
